Why did I start McLeod’s Knife Sharpening?

I decided to start this part time business for primarily 3 reasons.

First, I wanted to help people. My clients are not a number to me. They are folks who like to cook. I get to help them take care of their most used kitchen tools.

Second, I wanted to exercise a different part of my brain. My full time work is in the IT field. I sit at a computer all day. Sharpening knives let’s me focus on using my hands and to get away from a computer screen

Third, I think the idea of being a solopeneur is kinda cool. It’s also why I named the company after my name. My late father said to be proud enough of your work to put you name on it. Kind of like an artist that signs their work.
